The Peace Lutheran Church logo was designed by a student involved with our Campus Ministry group, the "Lutheran Collegians."  That's a registered student organization at Michigan Technological University.

The dove symbolizes the Holy Spirit.  The Spirit brings us God's peace by bringing us to faith in our Savior Jesus Christ.  Sharing that peace is what our congregation and our Lutheran Collegians are all about. We'd love to share God's peace with you.  So poke around our website.  See what we have to offer.  If you can, join us for worship or a Bible study.  And if you have questions?  Contact our Pastor.

The Labor Day weekend is almost upon us. For many that weekend signals the end of summer and the start of fall. Our local schools begin classes next week. Our colleges are already in session.

Our church schedule will also change, starting September 12th. Our worship will move to 10:15 AM. At 9:00 AM, we’ll start our Sunday School and our Adult Class, Christian Forum.

Our Sunday School is open to children ages 3 through the 8th grade. In the younger classes, we’ll be digging into Old Testament Bible Stories. In the oldest class, our study will be topical in approach. We’ll begin with a study called, “How Can I Get Along Better?”

In our Adult Class, Christian Forum, we’ll begin with a study called, “How to Interpret the Bible?” In this study we’ll go back to the basics as to how to read and understand our Bible. This study will help you understand why there are so many different Christian denominations. Plus, we’ll be reassured that the Bible, when read correctly, is clear and concise in all it says.

After all, the Psalmist didn’t say, “Your Word is a murky fog,” or “flickering, smokey candle.” Rather, with confidence the Psalmist could say, “Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

    God bless and keep you,

    Pastor Glenn Schwanke
