The college students are back! Houghton is alive again. And our church is going through the transition from summer schedule to fall. Please remember that on Sunday, September 12th, our worship moves to 10:15 AM. Sunday School and Adult Bible Class, Christian Forum, start at 9:00 AM.

Soup and Scriptures, our Lutheran Collegian midweek Bible study, is already going on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM.

We're also looking into adding other midweek, small-group Bible studies. On the Tech campus and also in our community. We've got the truth of Jesus to share, and we're always exploring more ways to get this Good News out!

We hope you'll join us for worship and Bible study. And by all means, if you have questions, don't hesitate to contact us!

God bless your day in Jesus,

The Labor Day weekend is almost upon us. For many that weekend signals the end of summer and the start of fall. Our local schools begin classes next week. Our colleges are already in session.

Our church schedule will also change, starting September 12th. Our worship will move to 10:15 AM. At 9:00 AM, we'll start our Sunday School and our Adult Class, Christian Forum.

Our Sunday School is open to children ages 3 through the 8th grade. In the younger classes, we'll be digging into Old Testament Bible Stories. In the oldest class, our study will be topical in approach. We'll begin with a study called, "How Can I Get Along Better?"

In our Adult Class, Christian Forum, we'll begin with a study called, "How to Interpret the Bible?" In this study we'll go back to the basics as to how to read and understand our Bible. This study will help you understand why there are so many different Christian denominations. Plus, we'll be reassured that the Bible, when read correctly, is clear and concise in all it says.

After all, the Psalmist didn't say, "Your Word is a murky fog," or "flickering, smokey candle." Rather, with confidence the Psalmist could say, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." (Psalm 119:105)

God bless and keep you,

Pastor Glenn Schwanke

Just wanted to leave a quick note that I absolutely LOVE this song! There are far too many people that blame things on something that "just happened" but no matter how you look at a situation, there is always more than one way to go. You have to think things through and realize how it will affect you AND your family. WWJD? We really have a great "family" at Peace, and I'm glad that my family can be a part of Peace!

Pin your worries on Jesus, then be patient, because God's timing is perfect and may not keep pace with our time! The patient part is the hard part!

But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
